  • 2 tablespoon good olive oil

  • 2 cups chopped yellow onions

  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt

  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste (or marinara substitutes)

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground chuck (81 percent lean)

  • 1 pound ground pork

  • 1/2 cup plain dry Italian bread crumbs

  • 2 extra-large eggs, beaten

  • 1/2 cup ketchup (recommended: Heinz)

  • 1/2 cup milk (optional)


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Form into a loaf.

  3. Place in a roasting pan.

  4. Spread extra ketchup covering the whole meatloaf.

  5. Bake for an 1½ hours.

Enjoy a quiet meal cuz everyone will be eating instead of talking.
