Two slices of the most indulgent sourdough bread you can find (or your favorite bread of choice)
Two tablespoons of chunky peanut butter (or for all you Angelenos, you can use almond butter if you MUST)
One tablespoon of your favorite jam or preserves (My favorite is strawberry and rhubarb jam from Bonne Maman)
Toast the aforementioned sourdough.
Spread one slice with peanut butter and the other with your jam, jelly or preserves.
Put together and slice down the middle (on the the diagonal if you have punk tendencies).
Enjoy standing in the kitchen as you make the second one to place upon one of your most elegant plates.
